Home sweet home

I'm sorry for the bad update, but I've never been as busy as I was my last week in Australia. Everything went so fast and I hardly got any sleep!
Now it's pretty much the opposite..
Oh I maybe should tell you that I'm back in Sweden! and I've been back for more then 3 weeks now, I think.

I have to say being back home sucks and is quite nice at the same time. I miss my life in Australia like crazy, friends, beach etc. But I also love the feeling of being home. Not having to behave all the time, trowing my stuff around and having all my friends around me. (the food is a big plus too.. )
I'm planing on continuing to update, but this time about my "normal" life back home!

Last day of school

So from having my first schools day here soon a year ago it has now time to have my last.
After spending a year in school doing pretty much nothing I'm happy it will be over. Sure I will miss my friends and some teachers, but overall I'm ready to close that chapter of my life.

My moderns teacher

Tomorrow I'm going to school camp for two days. It will be a great place to say goodbye to people from school and which them the best for the future.

saying goodbye

One after another..
Today I said my 'see you later' to Morgane. She is going home Wednesday, but because I'm away on school camp I wont be able to wave her off at the airport.
It was so weird hugging her the last time, or maybe it wasn't. It didn't feel like it was a "goodbye".

Morgane is one of the people I feel has grown up the most. She came here as a 15 year old thinking that she was so old and had all this knowledge. When she in fact was rather lacking it.
The first half of our exchange we never really hangout. She had her friends and I mine. I thought she was a bit childish and immature, a typical 15 year old. It wasn't until the safari that we became good friends and I got to know what a loving and funny person she is. She has done a massive jump in life this year and is not even close to being the person that came here a year ago.
She will be missed, but I know I will see her soon again.

Safari

Day 9 of the safari we went to Green Island. It's an Island outside of Cairns and in the middle of Great Barrier Reef. We spend the day snorkeling and swimming in the ocean.

saying Goodbye

It has come to the stage of my exchange when I'm starting to say goodbye.
People that I have spent this year with is one by one start their journey back home. The first one to leave was Mj from mexico. She was never a close friend of mine but the realization that this year is coming to an end slowly hit me as i was saying goodbye.
It was Bjorns turn after Mj and this time it really hurted. He had during the year become one of my best friends. We had our routine, meat up Monday and Thursday. The emptiness after he had walked through the gate truly sucked.
I will miss him allot.

The day after Bjorn it was the Finish guys. And this week it's Lukas, Morgane and Jessie's turn. I have no Idea how i will react when Jessie leaves. She is my best friend and I will miss her so much. I know we will see each other again, but it will be a while till then.

Safari

We were 23 exchange students on the safari. It was all the people I've known since i got here and an american girl that came from down Melbourne. We all knew each other from before, but we still managed to make new friends among us or improve the friendships we already had. It was people I hadn't hung out with before that I now became really close with

I can continue uploading pictures forever it feels like ahah. I took so many!

Safari 2

So the safari was a trip around Australia, or rather a small part. Something that I've learnt during this year is that this country is quite big.. rather huge.
We started by flying up to the gold coast and from there travel by bus. Went to Cairns, Alice Springs, Uluru, Great Ocean road, Melbourne and allot more. It really was a trip of a lifetime and I miss it so much now when  it's over. The worst thing was the realization after. that it's not long till i will be sitting on a plain back home now and this amazing year will come to an end. A year turned into months, months into weeks and soon it will be days. Where did all that time go??

Safari 2013

No I'm not dead

So I haven't written in so long. my excuse is that I've been lazy and busy. There is so much that has been going on so i decided to cut it down in to dot-points.
- Safari.
- People leaving.
- Moving family again.
- less then 3 weeks left in Australia.
-Mixed feelings.
- Moving house again.

I will try to do a little every day but it will mostly be pictures. I'm getting to lazy to write something that would catch your interest.

Exams

I'm gonna have a "fun" week ahead of me.. studying..
Who am I kidding, me study I wouldn't think so. But I will have exams.
The system here is very different from back in Sweden. Instead of having the exams a bit whenever and still having a normal day, It's special weeks here that are set for exams. You have no normal school and only go when you have an exam.

This leads to that you only go to school maximum two hours, only on the day you have exams and the rest is free time. You're suppose to study during these "free times", but I have other plans..

Eater show!

Every year during Easter time it's a big festival-like event in Sydney, called the Easter show(because it's always on during Easter). The correct name for the event would probably be 'Agriculture show' tho, when the theme is 'country coming to the city'.

You can go and see different animals, Wood chopping competition , rodeo, cars, rides, lots of different food, dog shows etc
It's a big family event and I could hardly get through because of all the people. Talking about all the people, I realized that i never will take a trolley to one of these events.. seriously I don't know how many trolleys that ran into me during the day.. So people LEAVE YOUR TROLLEY AT HOME! please.

I went with Stina, Jessie, Tiarna and Jenny. It was such a fun day! a bit strange but fun! If anyone has the opportunity to go, I would recommend the rodeo and ofc the wood chopping competition!

Boat ride to Central Coast

Me and my host family took a day trip to central coast. I normally go up by boat, but this time we took the ferry from Palm Beach.

Guinness world Record!

Kian (Jessies last hostmum and club president) was so nice and drew me home Sunday  It was even better when Jessie was in the car too.
During our way home  we took a little detour to the beach with the whitest sand in the world! And wow it  beautiful!

Kian
The beach is called Hyams Beach and is about 30 minutes drive from Nowra. It is a really spectacular view with the white sand . It was so many tourist going around taking pictures with the scenery and yeah.. I was one of them ^^

Conference part 3

Saturday ended with a big dress up dinner. All Rotary clubs had dressed up in different costumes. The theme was 'A nigh at the museum' (the movie).
My club went as some Egypt/Rome theme. It was probably the highlight of the conference!
Who knew Rotary people could get so into things. (sure a bit to much alcohol probably helped)...

Bjorn and Paul (first picture) came up with their costume in the last minute.. bed sheet and a belt..

The whole thing was at a war plain museum. It was a quite spectacular.
In the end it was allot of speeches and the whole thing was directed to Rotarians, which made the night a bit slow for young people ^^
